Coach Smith begins his 25th season as head coach of the Brewster Academy boys' basketball team. Under Smith's leadership, Brewster Academy has captured 7 National Prep Championships (2020, 2019, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2010). The Bobcats are coming off a 2023-24 season which was their inaugural in the most prestigious high school league in the United States- the Nike EYBL Scholastic. The team finished the season 27-7 and was ranked nationally by ESPN Top 25 in each of the 20 weeks. The program has averaged over 30 victories a season over the past 15 years and has seen 24 alumni reach the NBA, 47 play in the NBA G League, and 75+ play professionally around the world. Smith has led the Bobcats to twelve 30+ win seasons during his tenure, including 7 New England Class AAA Tournament Championships (2022, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2010, 2008), as well as 10 NEPSAC Class AAA Regular Season Titles (2022, 2020, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, & 2008). Coach Smith has received NEPSAC Coach of the Year Honors 6 times during his tenure. Brewster has advanced to the National Final Four 11 times since 2008. Â

Smith, a native of Boscawen, New Hampshire, lives on campus with his wife, Elizabeth, son Jonah, and twins Josiah and Bella.
